Collection: Molon Labe Flags

King Leonidas, leader of the Spartans in battle, spoke those famous words, Molon Labe, to King Xerxes, leader of the Persians and their massive army, at the battle of Thermopylae over 2,000 years ago. The battle for Greece hung in the balance, and Sparta refused to surrender. When told to lay down their arms, Leonidas yelled: "Molon Labe," or "Come and take them."

The words Molon Labe, or "Come and Take Them," are a key part of Greek history. Without these words being spoken, democracy would have been snuffed out before it even began. Yet, thanks to the courage and patriotism of those brave Greeks, Persia and its massive army was held off just long enough for reinforcements to come.

The historical significance of this is not lost on true patriots and scholars. The Molon Labe flag is a reminder that freedom is not free, and we must stand up for our liberty at all costs. Molon Labe means, we will not lay down our weapons for tyranny. We will battle it out to the end.
